Write for us

Rising Leisure Journal welcomes pitches that help busy readers make thoughtful use of free time. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the idea and why it suits the publication.

Ideas we welcome

We are interested in focused pitches about outings, home pursuits, cultural experiences, gatherings and time off. Strong proposals offer a clear reader question, a distinct angle and a useful takeaway without requiring specialist credentials, risky activities or claims that depend on changing local rules.

Make the pitch specific

Include a working title, a short summary, the intended reader and the main point the piece will make. Explain what makes the subject worth a reader's limited free time, and note any sources, images or personal material the proposal would rely on.

Before sending

Please pitch an idea rather than submitting a complete article unless we have requested one. Tell us if the proposal has been sent elsewhere or has a commercial connection. Proposals are sent through the Contact page; a submission is not a promise of publication.
